Madder-Dyed silks are considered to be the finest of all printed silks due to their deep prints and rich hues.
While the Traditional English Madder (or Ancient Madder) is the oldest & most common variety, we chose Italian Madder for these ties.
Traditional English Madder is exclusively printed on Silk Twill and gives the silk a more "chalky" feel, while our Italian Madder uses a Schappe Silk (known for an incredibly soft feel) with a Saglione Weave for added texture.
The silk is hand-printed by a specialist, leaving behind a deep and rich print.
While Italy & England are the most famous makers of ties, we produce our absolute finest in Poland.
Our Master Tailor perfectly cuts each tie along the true bias and hand-sews a 2 layer wool interlining.
A 2 layer interlining requires far more skill to sew than a traditional single-layer interlining, yet the knot it produces is unrivaled in quality.
